Reddit Ask Me Anything: Dr. David Moreau on brain changes in response to physical exercise

Join us for a Reddit AMA with eLife author David Moreau to talk about his research into how the brain changes in response to physical exercise

eLife is teaming up with Reddit Science to give you the opportunity to chat directly with neuroscientist Dr. David Moreau about his research on October 30, 2017, 3pm EDT.

He will be answering questions about his recent eLife paper, which showed that short, intense bursts of exercise can induce meaningful improvements in brain function, along with anything related to his broader expertise in the way brain function changes in response to the environment.

Dr. David Moreau. Dr. David Moreau – Research Associate, University of Auckland. David is a neuroscientist at the Centre for Brain Research at the University of Auckland. He completed his PhD at the University of Lille, France, and then spent three years as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Princeton University where he developed, tested and validated the idea of combining physical and cognitive demands to elicit improvements in brain function. This type of intervention, blending brain training and physical exercise, allows preserving the ecological components of naturalistic activities, and has ramifications both for clinical (e.g. children with neurodevelopmental disorders, adults with dementia and patients in post-stroke recovery) and non-clinical populations. David moved to New Zealand in 2014.
