eLife supports the Go Open Access project by the Chinese Academy of Sciences

eLife is now a supporting publisher of the “Go to Selected Open Access Journals” (Go OA) initiative at the National Science Library of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).

Launched in 2014, Go OA is designed to ensure that Chinese researchers have full and consistent access to the world’s highest-quality open-access resources, by integrating them into the local systems of the National Science Library. Go OA serves more than 80,000 CAS researchers and graduate students as well as universities across China.

By definition, open-access content is not only freely and immediately available online, but also available to use and re-use under terms that enable it to be mined and copied this way. eLife content is available under a Creative Commons Attribution License, which encourages end users to make full use of the text, figures, datasets, and more – under the condition that the original author is given credit.

By partnering with Go OA, eLife aims to ensure researchers in China have full access to the important biomedical research we publish, and can build upon it. By partnering with other such initiatives worldwide, and making our content available in as many places as possible across the web, eLife aims to increase the visibility, reach, and use of published research.
