eLife welcomes 10 Senior Editors

eLife welcomes 10 leading scientists, with expertise from across the life sciences and biomedicine, to its editorial board.

At eLife, working scientists make all editorial decisions. Our Senior Editors handle all initial decisions, often deciding whether to send a manuscript for peer review in consultation with Reviewing Editors or external experts as needed.

With more than 700 new submissions every month, we continue to expand the editorial board to meet the growing demand.

We warmly welcome the 10 Senior Editors who have joined us since November 2015:

  • Anna Akhmanova, Utrecht University
  • Marianne E. Bronner, California Institute of Technology
  • Arup Chakraborty, Massachusetts Institute of Technology
  • Wendy Garrett, Harvard T. Chan School of Public Health
  • Christian Hardtke, University of Lausanne
  • Sabine Kastner, Princeton University
  • Andrew King, University of Oxford
  • Wenhui Li, National Institute of Biological Sciences, Beijing
  • Michel Nussenzweig, Rockefeller University
  • Patricia Wittkopp, University of Michigan

Our Senior Editors are supported by a team of around 290 Reviewing Editors, who comment on new submissions and manage the consultative peer-review process. The full list of eLife editors is online at https://elifesciences.org/about#leadership.
