Compensation for PKMζ in long-term potentiation and spatial long-term memory in mutant mice
I would like to clarify the above comments regarding experiments in Volk et al., 2013. While our general characterization of the PKMz-null mice (Fig. 1C and Supplementary Fig. 1B-D) did indeed use whole brain extracts, the experiments specifically testing for PKCi compensation (See main text and Supplementary Fig. 5 ) used micro-dissected CA1 slices before and after tetanization.
