eLife Latest: Welcoming new eLife editors

Bringing a broad range of expertise, 126 researchers join eLife’s editorial board

It has been more than a year since eLife has embraced its new publishing model. As part of this new model, Reviewed Preprints are visible earlier than traditionally peer-reviewed articles, providing a middle ground between unreviewed preprints and published Versions of Record.

As we reflect on this significant milestone, eLife has also seen growth in our Editorial board and we are thrilled to welcome 10 new Senior Editors and 116 Reviewing Editors.

Among that number, we are delighted to welcome 17 researchers based across Africa. Spanning nine African countries – Cameroon, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, South Africa and Uganda – our new editors join us following our second-ever open call for self-nominations for Reviewing Editors.
