In technology: Libero community call, June 2018

The recording of our community call in June to demo a prototype version of Libero is now available.

eLife hosted a community call on June 29 to demonstrate the recent prototype of our open source publishing and hosting platform, Libero.

We had good attendance from a number of other publishers and technology providers, and there was good discussion in the question-and-answer session. Attendees were particularly interested in the interactions between the technology in Libero and other systems – some aspects of which are still open for discussion via our Requests for Comments on GitHub.

You can watch the recording of the call below.

Coming up next: eLife is hosting the Libero Community Sprint 2018, a two-week event taking place from August 13 to 24.

The Sprint will begin with a two-day workshop held at eLife’s offices in Cambridge, UK, from 10am to 5pm (UTC+1) on August 13 and 14. It will then continue until the 24th, with everyone contributing remotely and collaborating via remote pairing, daily stand ups and using GitHub and Slack.

Find out more about the Sprint, and how you can apply to register for the event, here.
