In May 2015, we started to encourage our editors and reviewers to use Publons, and there has been healthy interest in this service, with more than 500 peer reviews for eLife now recorded.
At eLife, we think openness and transparency help to encourage more constructive behaviours, so we've investigated ways we can be more open in the peer-review process.
We are launching a new programme of monthly webinars to give early-career researchers in the life and biomedical sciences a platform to share opportunities and explore issues around building a successful research career.
